Aboriginal Infant Development
White Buffalo Aboriginal Health Society & Resource Centre is a culturally based holistic health centre committed to supporting Aboriginal children, adults, families & communities in achieving a balanced & healthy lifestyle. By combining both traditional & modern practices White Buffalo's programs are dedicated to support traditional Aboriginal values encompassing the connectedness of emotional, spiritual, physical & mental well-being.
As a child & family centered program, Mawman Noor works in partnership with families and /or caregivers to assist children who need extra support in their day to day activities. By providing children & families with resources & opportunities to strengthen existing skills & learn new ones, the Mawman Noor program aims to provide opportunities for Aboriginal children to develop fully & successfully throughout their lives & affirm their positive sense of themselves.
The Mawman Noor (Mother Bear) program offers help & support for Aboriginal & non-Aboriginal families & infants who are at risk or have development delays.
Funding is provided by the Ministry for Child & Family development. There is no fee for our service.
